The Otto Township Cemetery Association is a non-profit 501C3 organization that relies on donations and lot purchases to operate and maintain the Duke Center and Rixford cemeteries.
As procedures for records management changed over many years, the need for more accurate cemetery data became known. In 2019 Reverend Sharon Schwab resurrected the current Otto Township Cemetery Association.
Information found on these pages was collected from historical records as well as 2005 lists created by the late Nancy A. Thomas of Painted Hills Genealogy Society. Local residents Kelly Pearce and David Silvis spent untold hours to verify and update maps and databases to the fullest extent possible. Updates include a new Lot and Plot numbering scheme shown next to the previous Section and Row system. Despite extensive efforts to accurately document cemetery information, inaccuracies and missing information remain. Should you have corrections or additions to the databases, kindly email us at ottotownshipcemetery@gmail.com for review and verification.
⚠️Note: Rixford Cemetery map and database are under review. Expect an update by Spring 2026.
